Established in the far southwest corner of Japan in Yamaguchi prefecture, Ohmine opened a brand new brewery in 2018 but before that, they produced sake in their family’s original brewery; a location that was defunct for 50 years and skipped generations before Takeshi Akiyama decided to walk in his family’s footsteps. The result is an ultra-pure and modern sake style that focuses on elegance and aroma and bottle aesthetic that matches the taste.
